“Izzy, who began smoking meat as a hobby early on, quickly turned his passion into a full-time career. When the overwhelmingly positive reaction of his community began to spread, he realized he needed to share his talent further. A talent that allowed him to cater events even before opening the doors to his prime location in Brooklyn, New York. He found himself in countless private homes, extravagant venues and even in the backyards of his loyal food fans, cooking for a range of small, medium to extremely large-sized parties. Before he knew it, he was entered in BBQ competitions all over the country, in which he won awards against other kosher & non-kosher contestants.”
In 2015 a brand new J&R smoker would be his new tool to serve hungry customers rolling in from all over the world into his new restaurant, “Izzy’s Brooklyn Smokehouse”. Fast-forward to today and Izzy has three locations open currently throughout New York and in Miami.
